NEW YEAR WOES

i always dread visiting relatives because

1) they like to ask awkward questions like
- how are your results?
- got grow any taller?
and they rattle on and on about things which i obviously have no intention of responding to them.
like wth? not your problem also. people dont usually delve into personal information when they meet only once a year

2) the atmosphere becomes solemn when neither party does anything to break the ice
and then i'm left there to stare at the television screen pretending to be interested in those boring shows.

3) i have to pretend im happy

4) i'm totally stuck at the place until we get over with dinner. we MUST take our dinner there

5) there are too many people, not enough food. so my family usually just eat the rice, some vege and a little gravy or a piece of meat. ehhhh maybe there was enough just that one of the family is extremely.....erm kiasu O.O

SO HAPPY CHINESE NEW YEAR ISNT REALLY HAPPY AT ALL
anyday is happier than cny

some cant wait to get angpows on cny
but i dont find it a really happy event. its indirectly getting money from my parents.
haiz.. but what to do? it's a tradition
